After USER PROFILES you must select the type of user you are logged in as.

Then you will see the EDIT function.

Yes, I had to call Propertyware support, because no one answered my post here. *grumble*

Go to SETUP
Go to ADMINISTRATION SETUP
Go to MANAGE USERS
Go to USER PROFILES
Click the EDIT button

***Note that the edit page has two side-by-side columns which are not well defined***

Scroll down to the MONEY OUT section
Make sure that GENERATE 1099s is checked
Scroll down to the MANAGEMENT section
Make sure that GENERATE 1099s is checked

Click SAVE at the bottom.

You will now see the option to generate 1099s in the related activities boxes where they should be.
